BMW compatible 3-button key housing, old type, with key blade notch to replace your damaged or defective key housing. The key is suitable for BMW E38, BMW E39, BMW E46, BMW E53, BMW E60, BMW E61, BMW E63, BMW E64, BMW E83, BMW E95, and BMW E90, among others.
Is technical knowledge necessary?
No it is not necessary, you can have a functioning key housing again without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do
Step 1. Open your existing key, remove the electronics, battery and immobilizer and place them in the new key housing. Close the housing.
Step 2. Have the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition switch) copied by the key maker/chop shop.
Step 3. That's all, you now have a functioning key housing again.
