Ford compatible 3-button key housing without key blade to replace your damaged or defective key housing. The key is suitable for Ford Mondeo, Ford Fiesta, Ford Transit, Ford Escort and Ford Focus, among others.

No that is not necessary, you can have a good working key housing again without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Open your existing key, remove the electronics and immobilizer and place them in the new key housing. Close the housing.
Step 2. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition) to the new key housing.
Step 3. That's all, you now have a functioning key housing again.
