Microswitches
Are your key housing buttons worn and you can see the chip/electronics? Then chances are that microswitch is damaged or completely off. If the microswitch is damaged or completely off, the pushbutton will not work (properly). You will need a new key housing and microswitch. On the product pictures you can see what it looks like and how to recognize the microswitch.
Please check carefully when ordering the microswitch that the pictures correspond to your microswitch. Unsure which model to order? Then send a picture of the electronics by e-mail so that we can advise you. Our contact information can be found on our contact.
What is a microswitch?
When you click on the push button of your car key, the microswitch catches the pressure. The microswitch activates the electronics for such things as opening or closing the car doors.
Why replace the microswitch?
As indicated, the key will not work (properly) if the microswitch is damaged and/or completely off. In this case, a new microswitch often offers a solution. A new car key with electronics and immobilizer is also possible, but this solution is much more expensive and in our opinion unnecessary in many cases.
Mounting the microswitch
To assemble a microswitch yourself, you need to have the right equipment and knowledge. If you prefer not to mount the microswitch yourself, we can take care of that for you. See our microswitch repair service.
