With this Opel-compatible 2-button folding key with straight blade (HU100) you can convert your old (damaged) boot key into the updated boot key model. The key is suitable for Opel Astra, Opel Zafira, Opel Mokka and Opel Insignia..
Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can turn your normal key housing into a folding key without any technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Check if your current key is model 1079. If you have another model, this key will not be suitable.
Step 2. Open your existing folding key, remove the electronics and starter cup and place them in the new folding key housing.
Step 3. Have the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition switch) sharpened (copied):
(a.) We can take care of this for you. You can read how this works on the page "car key sharpening".
b.) Or have the key sharpened by a locksmith.
Step 4. That's all, you now have a working folding key!
