Description
This Peugeot compatible 2-button folding key with a key blade with a notch in the side (HU83) allows you to convert your old (damaged) key housing into a folding key. The key is among others suitable for Peugeot 206, Peugeot 207, Peugeot 306, Peugeot 307, Peugeot 406 ne Peugeot 407.
Is technical knowledge necessary?
No that is not necessary, you can turn your normal key housing into a folding key without any technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Check if your current key is model 1080. If you have another model this key will not be suitable.
Step 2. Open your existing key housing, remove the electronics and starter undercup and place them in the new folding key housing. Close the housing.
Step 3. Have the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition switch) sharpened (copied):
(a.) We can take care of this for you. You can read how this works on the "car key sharpening" page.
b.) Or have the key sharpened by a locksmith.
Step 4. That's all, you now have a working folding key!
