Peugeot compatible ignition key with transponder (ID46) and straight key blade with notch (HU83) to replace your damaged or defective ignition key. Also suitable to make a copy of your key so you can have an (extra) spare key. Among others suitable for Peugeot 106, Peugeot 206, Peugeot 207, Peugeot 306, Peugeot 307, Peugeot 406 and Peugeot 407.
How do I replace the ignition key with transponder?
You can have a properly functioning ignition key again without any technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Choose between replacing your damaged/defective key or an (extra) spare key, see below.
To replace your damaged or defective ignition key with transponder
Step 1. Open your existing ignition key, remove the transponder/immobilizer and put it over the new ignition key. Close the housing.
Step 2. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition) to the new key housing. You can also choose to have the key sharpened (copied) by a locksmith.
Step 3. That's all, you now have a working ignition key again.
An (extra) spare key
Step 1. Take your original key and the new key with you to the locksmith/chop shop.
Step 2. Have them copy the immobilizer/transponder. The immobilizer allows you to start your car.
Step 3. Have your key copied by the key maker/chop bar.
Step 4. That's all, you now have an (extra) spare key.
