This Mini compatible rechargeable CR2025 (3.6 Volt) button cell battery is ideal for replacing your faulty battery. The rechargeable battery is suitable for various keys from Mini. The contact points on this model are opposite each other

No that is not necessary, you can replace your battery without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Open your key housing
Step 2. Remove the battery from the key housing
Step 3: Attach the new rechargeable battery to the electronics or place it in the battery case. Close the key housing.
Note: If the battery is soldered to the electronics you will need to desolder the old battery. Then you can insert and solder the new battery.
Step 4. That's all, you now have a properly working key!!!
