No that is not necessary, you can have a properly functioning clapkey housing again without technical knowledge.
What do you need to do?
Step 1. Open your existing key, take out the electronics, battery and immobilizer and place them in the new push button housing. Close the housing.
Step 2. Transfer the key blade (the part that goes into your ignition) to the new pushbutton part.
Step 3. That's all, you now have a properly functioning flip key housing again.
